2nd of February, a day which lady luck wasn't on our side. We suffered defeat from the St. Andrew's school team by the score of 70-67. We failed to keep our lead that we earned during halftime where the score was 40-24. However, we should benefit from this match by extracting experience whereas promoting cooperation between the players in the team. Today, there were 9 of us who were present where we fought hard and maximize our effort. The 9 of us namely, me( Tze Yang ), Yap, Ah Zhen, Wei Hon, Hawaii, Chee Seng, Robin, Chun Leong and lastly Ah Yi, a future member of the imperial. Hawaii who did great for our first half had to leave early because of personal reasons. What a pity but wei hon managed to present himself in the squad when Hawaii left. Wei hon, a sharpshooter for the team managed to earn himself 2 points where he smiled gracefully showing his perfect set of glazing white teeth. Our team which lack of inside dominancy managed to continue our offence with our strong and potential guards. A pity it was, St. Andrews managed to plan a comeback and succeeded in doing so. Scrappy defence of ours it was, no one to blame but us. Joshua, a rough kid in the St. Andrew's team had been throwing elbows and balls on faces. He wanted to a pick of fight on me but he walked away after doing so. I had a great today having lots of block shots where i threw a halt to their lay-ups and shots. Everyone did a great job today. Experience gained. Sadness through losing but we had to battle our mental weaknesses and stand up strong eventho' we had lost the game. Thank you for reading my post.Saturday, February 2, 2008
